That Cares

No matter what happens in our lives, Jesus says the worst thing is never the last thing. God wants to heal your hurts and then use them to make a difference for others.

One of the best ways to get connected into the life of the church is to join us for worship. Walking into a church can be scary, so we encourage you to watch us online first. Tune in for a while and see if Jesus' can help transform your story.

For reasons unknown to us, the length of 40 - whether 40 days or 40 years - has been significant throughout biblical history:
  • The great flood lasted 40 days
  • Moses was on the mountain with God for 40 days to receive the 10 commandments
  • The Israelites wandered the desert for 40 years before entering the Promised Land
  • The Kingdom of Israel was founded on its first three kings - Saul, David and Solomon - each ruling exactly 40 years
  • The Prophet Elijah fasted for 40 days
  • Jesus fasted and prayed in the wilderness for 40 days
  • Jesus walked the earth for 40 days following his resurrection before returning to heaven

Each of these events is associated with something new. God often leads his people through seasons of 40 for the purpose of inaugurating a new era or a new season in their life. Forty days to turn things around. Forty days to change. Forty days to have one chapter of life end and another begin. This lent, we will explore what new thing God might be preparing for you after the 40 days of Lent.

You are welcome here.

Whether you're new to church or have been part of one all your life, whether you believe everything we believe or have doubts, whether you are young or old, rich or poor, had a great week or one of the worst weeks, you are welcome here!
