Fusion Youth Worship

Join us each Wednesday night as we worship the the only one worthy of our time , effort and devotion:  Jesus

Fusion begins at 6:30 each week.  We spend some time hanging together beforehand, then head into worship with our Worship Band, then we spend some time opening the Word of God and digging into it.

Currently we are studying the doctrine of the Trinity and Life in the Spirit as it applies to walking humbly with our God.

Our overall theme for this year is God's Justice and Mercy. (Micah 6:8)   We will be discussing the importance of living in the Spirit of God as a pre-req to being able to show God's justice and mercy to those around you, and then we'll apply that justice and mercy to everything you do on a daily basis

Join us this Wednesday.  Find a great place to connect with friend and with the God of the universe who "loves you best of all."

This February 26-27 we will be participating in the World Vision 30 Hour Famine.  Students will raise money to fight world hunger by going without food for 30 hours.   The Famine begins Friday at lunch (a good excuse to skip that school lunch) and ends at 6 pm on Saturday night with our Famine Feast.  In between those hours we will be participating in a mission project in the Houston area, locking in for the night and having a general great time.  Come ready to work, play and most importantly...Change the World!

Look for more information and sponsorship packets coming soon.  For more info on the Famine, click on the image and you will be redirected to the official 30 Hour Famine website.

See you at the Famine!
HEARTWORKS is a movement started by a youth group in Colorado.  Their goal is to build 1000 orphanages in 1000 days by 1000 youth groups.  The Youth Ministry of First UMC Alvin will be a part of this movement beginning in the Summer of 2010.  We hope you will be a part of this incredible movement and opportunity with us.

James 1:27

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being pulluted by the world.

Do you wonder what this whole Christian thing is about?  Would you like some answers about what Jesus did for you?  Check out this video.  If you have more questions, or just need someone to talk with, call Roger at 281.331.3482.

Take a few moments to take this online spiritual gifts inventory.  This inventory is designed to help you see what your spiritual gifts are.  Once you 've taken the inventory, we will help you get plugged into ministry here at FUMC.
