The FUMC Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing post-high school degrees or technical certifications.
Current college students are also eligible. Applicants need not be a member of First United Methodist Church of Alvin, but must have been active in FUMC activities and demonstrate devotion to Christian principles. Applicants must provide details about the Church activities they have participated in at FUMC and how those activities have shaped their Christian principles.
FUMC also has six Endowent Scholarship Trust Funds established by past and present FUMC members. The annual interest income from each Trust provides the money available each year. These scholarships have specfific qualification requirements.
