Prayers and Squares Quilt Ministry

This is a prayer ministry that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-made and hand-tied quilt.  It's main purpose is to promote prayer through the use of quilts.  Their motto is "It's not about the quilt: it's about the prayers."  The idea behind these prayer quilts is simple.  A heavy thread is used to take stitches throught the quilt layers, and the ends are left free to be tied with a knot.  As each knot is tied, a silent prayer is said for someone in special need, who then receives the finished quilt.  Over the past two years, this team has prayed and given out over 150 quilts.  This ministry team meets the third Thursday morning of each month.  There is always something you can do to help and the fellowship is wonderful.  For more information call 281-331-3482.

Covenant Prayer Group

 A dedicated group of people who meet each Tuesday morning to pray through the week's requests, send notes of encouragement and work in concert with Prayers and Squares Quilt MInistry in praying, tying and delivering the quilts to recipients.
